A day porter is a professional commercial cleaning technician that provides dedicated service at a client facility. The day porters provide ongoing, real time janitorial cleaning as well as complete light maintenance tasks (such as change light bulbs). The day porter will tend to the restrooms, lobby and other general areas to ensure they are picked up, clean and welcoming for staff and guests. The day porter can be given a list of specific tasks to routinely complete during the day. The day porter will on call to clean up any accidental spills or other unexpected cleaning needed during the day.
From time to time, the the day porter may also complete certain deep cleaning service tasks like cleaning windows and blinds as the needs arise. Carpet shampooing and extraction, machine floor scrubbing, exterior windows not included unless specifically stated in a SOW.
